Diane lewis

Diane Lewis works as a Program Specialist with Virginia Commonwealth University’s Training and Technical Assistance Center.  She supports teachers in regions 1 and 8 of Virginia in their implementation of structured literacy and co-teaching practices.  Diane is a special educator, Orton-Gillingham teacher/coach and a National LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Professional Learning Facilitator.  Her professional goals are to remain a lifelong learner and provide teachers support toward equipping ALL children with the skills to become proficient readers while closing the achievement gap for students with disabilities. She lives in Prince George County, Virginia with her husband and 3 dogs. They enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren and lounging at their beach house in the Outer Banks.
