How to Negotiate in IEP Meetings

We will discuss the differences and purposes of both IDEA IEP’s and ADA 504 plans. The discussion will include specialized instruction to include accommodations and modifications for positive educational outcomes for all students experiencing disabilities.
When we pay attention to the words we use and the way we use them, and we practice compassion through seeing the strength of others and keeping the focus on it, we improve the odds of bolstering and deepening relationships between schools and families. Attendees in this session will explore compassionate leadership and communication and discuss what works for meaningfully engaging and co-powering with families who are at the heart and culture of their schools
